Tried Dominick's Pizza for the first time this past weekend. Really really good! Great sauce and toppings. Will definitely go again!
I placed an order for a deep dish Chicago pizza and and an XL order of fries. When I got the pizza and opened the box, it wasn't what I expected. If you google a Chicago deep dish pizza, it won't be what Dominick's pizza is serving. Any who! I ate it anyway. It was good, just lacking some sauce and cheese.
Food was ready about 10-15 minutes after estimated carryout window but the guy apologized and offered me a free 2 liter which was a really nice gesture. Pizza was great, fresh ingredients. I got the veggie white pizza and a custom Sicilian.
Very happy. I've purchased from Dominick's before, but in this case I made the wrong call, or called the wrong location, so after an additional 10-15 drive, I discovered I now liked the Belair Rd cheff's food better. So why was it better? Well I'm sure its the same ingredients, right? Well, the crust was chewy, not under cooked, the cheese was tasty and the sauce was sweet but not overloaded. So I am guessing the time in the oven or the cheff's eye for pizza is better. Either way, worth the 4 plus stars, likely closer to 4.5. So what is the dislike? The price was a bit higher then nearby joints and I haven't tried the nearby joints, so I can't give you the best rating yet... Either way, absolutely one of the better pizzas locally sold. Nice Job!
I just came home after doing some shopping and I had stopped by Dominicks Perry Hall on my way to pickup my order I called in. I brought home a wonderful, 2 topping large, fresh as can be, delicious pizza. When I opened the box, I said "Damn, that is a good looking pizza!" Picture is below. Folks, it tastes as good maybe even better, then it looks. Go order one and enjoy!
